Историко-Культурный Музей заповедник Звартноц
"Zvartnots" historical and cultural reserve-museum with an area of 14.1 hectare is located in Etchmiadzin. It was created in 1923, but the first permanent exhibition took place in 1937 under the leadership of Karo Ghafaryan.
In the exhibition, you can see the 500-liter medieval clay jars found during the excavations in the area of Zvartnots, the sundial with Armenian inscriptions on it, historical fragments left from the ruins of the temple, various types of jewelry, metal tools, boxes, etc.
The ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral and the remains of partially restored walls, arches, a well, temple ornaments, monastic cells, a wine press, a round slab dating back to the 2nd-1st millennia BC are part of the museum's open-air exhibition.
